The requirements in La. Rev. Stat. 22:149 shall not be applicable as follows:

(1)  When an industrial life insurance policy is issued by any domestic, foreign, or alien insurer providing other benefits, in addition to life insurance, the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 22:149 shall apply only to the life insurance portion of the policy.

(2)  Any of the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 22:149 or portions thereof not applicable to non-participating or term or paid-up policies shall to that extent not be incorporated therein.
