Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 22:1660.7
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- person: includes a body of persons, whether incorporated or not. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 1:10
- Pharmacy services administrative organization: means an entity that provides a contracted pharmacy with administrative, contracting, or payment services relating to prescription drug benefits. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 22:1660.1
- Subpoena: A command to a witness to appear and give testimony.
Information provided to the commissioner by a pharmacy services administrative organization pursuant to La. Rev. Stat. 22:1660.2(B) and 1660.3, as well as the terms and conditions of any contract between a pharmacy services administrative organization and a pharmacy benefit manager, a pharmacist, or a pharmacy except for the identity of the contracting parties, and such other proprietary information as specifically identified by the pharmacy services administrative organization shall be given confidential treatment, shall not be subject to subpoena, and shall not be made public by the commissioner, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, or any other person, except to the insurance departments of other states or in any adjudicatory hearing or court proceeding invoked by the commissioner in accordance with the provisions of this Part.
