Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 33:447.1

  • Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.

Notwithstanding La. Rev. Stat. 33:441(A) nor any law to the contrary, the mayor of the city of DeQuincy may also impose court costs not to exceed fifty dollars for each offense, as defined by ordinance, on any defendant convicted of a violation of a municipal ordinance.
