Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:1789
- Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of the Office of Financial Institutions within the office of the governor. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:1782
- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- License: means the certificate of authority to operate a pawnshop as issued by the commissioner. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:1782

The Department of Public Safety and Corrections on request shall supply to the commissioner any available arrest and conviction records of any person applying for or holding a license under this Part including the partners, officers, directors, and owners thereof.
