Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:463.4.4
- Department: means the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, acting directly through its duly authorized officers and agents, or whatever state board, official, or body may hereafter be authorized by law to exercise the functions now devolving upon it under the law. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:451
- Oversight: Committee review of the activities of a Federal agency or program.
A. Upon request and if the applicant is eligible in accordance with the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 47:463.4, any available special prestige license plate issued by the deputy secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, public safety services, may additionally bear the international symbol of accessibility.
B. The deputy secretary shall provide by rules and regulations for the implementation of this Section. Such rules and regulations shall be subject to oversight review conducted by the house and senate committees on transportation, highways and public works.
