- Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
- Community health worker: means an individual who serves as a liaison for community members to facilitate access to health and social services and to improve quality and cultural competence of service delivery through outreach, education, support, and advocacy.
