Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:1161
- Board of Trustees: means the board provided to administer the retirement system. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:1002
- Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
- Retirement: means withdrawal from active service with a retirement allowance granted under the provisions of this Chapter. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:1002
The general administration and responsibility for the proper operation of the retirement system and for making effective the provisions of this Chapter are vested in a board of trustees which shall be organized immediately after a majority of the trustees provided for in La. Rev. Stat. 11:1162 shall have qualified and taken the oath of office.
