A. The first assistant district attorney of the Seventeenth Judicial District shall receive as compensation for his services, in addition to the annual salary paid by the state, an annual salary of eight thousand dollars, payable monthly on his own warrant, provided that this Act shall not become effective until such time as funds are made available by the legislature to pay the salary of the district attorney of the Thirty-Second Judicial District.1
B. The second assistant district attorney of the Seventeenth Judicial District shall receive as compensation for his services, in addition to the annual salary paid by the state, an annual salary of seven thousand five hundred dollars, payable monthly on his own warrant. The additional salary of each of the assistant district attorneys shall be payable solely by the parish of Lafourche.
