Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 22:1653

  • Commissioner: means the commissioner of insurance through the Department of Insurance. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 22:1641
  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.

            A. Each administrator shall file an annual report for the preceding calendar year with the commissioner on or before March first of each year, or within such extension of time therefor as the commissioner may grant for good cause. The report shall be in the form and contain all information as the commissioner requires.

            B. The annual report shall include the complete names and addresses of all insurers with which the administrator had an agreement during the preceding fiscal year.

            C. At the time of filing its annual report, the administrator shall pay a filing fee in the amount set forth in La. Rev. Stat. 22:821.
