Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 23:887

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • person: includes a body of persons, whether incorporated or not. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 1:10

Any employer, person, firm, association, corporation, labor union or organization injured as a result of any violation or threatened violation of any provision of this Part or threatened with any such violation shall be entitled to injunctive relief in the manner provided by the injunction law of this state applicable to general civil matters, presently La. Rev. Stat. 13:4061-13:4071, against any and all violators or persons threatening violation.
