Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2474
- Releasing agency: means an animal pound, shelter, humane organization, or animal control agency, whether public or private. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2471
- Sterilization: means the surgical removal of the reproductive organs of a dog or cat in order to render the animal unable to reproduce. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2471
The releasing agency shall consider the animal sterilized upon receipt of written confirmation signed by the Louisiana licensed veterinarian who performed the sterilization.
