Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 33:4780.85

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.

A.  Regulations and restrictions, established pursuant to this Subpart may, from time to time, be amended, modified, or repealed.  The governing authority of the parish shall follow the procedures set forth is La. Rev. Stat. 33:4780.44 regarding a protest made against a change in any such regulation and restriction.

B.  The provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 33:4780.43 relative to public hearing and official notice shall apply equally to all changes or amendments; however, no ordinance shall require a procedure or criterion for amendment any greater than that initially used in establishing such regulations, restrictions, or penalties.
