- Board of commissioners: means a group of persons appointed under the provisions of law to exercise certain authorities over and have oversight and control of a levee district or levee and drainage district. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 38:281
The board of commissioners of the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East and Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-West Bank shall comply with the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 39:2001 et seq., when advertising and letting public works contracts and procurement contracts.
