Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 4:734

  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.

Notwithstanding any provision of this Chapter to the contrary, a candidate for public office, as provided for in La. Rev. Stat. 18:1483(3), or his principal campaign committee, as provided for in La. Rev. Stat. 18:1483(15), may conduct a fund-raising activity involving the sale of tickets which afford the purchaser an opportunity to win a door prize, raffle, or similar gift or prize.
