            A. All new and reconditioned sewage treatment systems with a capacity up to and including one thousand five hundred gallons per day that produce an effluent and, by design, do not significantly limit or reduce the amount of offsite effluent, shall include an effluent limiter or reducer approved by the Louisiana Department of Health.

            B. All new and reconditioned sewage treatment systems with a capacity up to and including one thousand five hundred gallons per day that produce an effluent shall have a means of or device for disinfecting such effluent, approved by the Louisiana Department of Health. Such disinfection systems shall be exempt from any requirements for minimum contact chamber volumes unless the addition of formal disinfection is specifically required as part of a permit issued by the Louisiana Department of Health or the Department of Environmental Quality.
