- Division: means the division of state police in the Department of Public Safety and Corrections. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 40:1372
A. All employees, officers, or agents of the division of state police may carry arms and weapons, concealed or openly, while in the actual performance of any duty or while under assignment to any duty under this Subpart.
B. The police employees of the division shall be the highway patrol of the state and as such shall perform only real police duties as provided by La. Rev. Stat. 40:1379.
