- Food: includes all substances and preparations used for or entering into the composition of food, drink, confectionery, chewing gum, or condiment for man or beast. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 40:602
Carriers engaged in interstate commerce are not subject to the provisions of this Part, other than La. Rev. Stat. 40:629, by reason of their receipt, carriage, or delivery of food, drugs, devices, cosmetics, or advertising matter in the usual course of business as carriers.
