Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 40:682

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.

            A. The department shall issue the license required in La. Rev. Stat. 40:681 to any applicant upon receipt of such evidence as it requires to show that the applicant is properly equipped and maintains and uses the method provided for in Subsection B of this Section in cleansing and sterilizing the containers.

            B. All containers shall be cleansed, sterilized, and freed from rust and contamination by soaking them for a period of not less than five minutes in a hot caustic solution of not less than one hundred twenty degrees Fahrenheit, which shall be indicated by a thermometer. This solution shall contain not less than two and one-half percent of caustic soda expressed in terms of sodium hydrates. The containers shall then be thoroughly rinsed in pure water. The cleansing solution shall be changed frequently so as to prevent it from becoming foul and unsanitary.
