Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 45:125

  • Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.

A mortgage made according to La. Rev. Stat. 45:124 upon transmission lines and appurtenances shall bind the same in the several parishes where they may be, by the recordation of the mortgage in the parish where the transmission lines are situated, and such mortgage need not be re-inscribed to continue it in force.
