Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 56:699.6

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • person: includes a body of persons, whether incorporated or not. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 1:10

The provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 56:699.5 shall not apply to any active or veteran member of the United States armed services or to any POST-certified law enforcement officer or to any individual with current POST-certification. The commission may adopt rules to implement this Section including rules regarding evidence of such service. Application for the exemption authorized in this Section shall be filed in person at the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries main office building in the city of Baton Rouge, or at any other location designated by the department.
