- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
To own immovable property in this state or to have the limited liability of any partners of a limited partnership recognized, a foreign partnership must be registered in accordance with La. Rev. Stat. 9:3422.
