- Authorized prescriber: means a licensed physician, dentist, or other health care provider authorized by law to prescribe drugs, medications, medical devices or appliances, and health care regimens. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:1026.3
- Department: means the Louisiana Department of Health. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:1026.3
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Licensed long-term care facility: means any of the following:
(a) Nursing home as defined in La. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:1026.3
- Medication attendant: means a person who, pursuant to this Part, has completed a medication administration course approved by the Louisiana Department of Health, passed an examination for medication attendants approved by the Louisiana Department of Health, and received a current certification from the Louisiana Department of Health.
