Terms Used In Louisiana Children's Code 896.1

  • child: means any person under the age of twenty-one, including an emancipated minor, who commits a delinquent act before attaining seventeen years of age. See Louisiana Children's Code 804

In addition to any other disposition which may be ordered as a result of adjudication, the court may recommend that the child, if eligible, participate in the pilot program established pursuant to the provisions of Part VI of Chapter 7 of Title 15, La. Rev. Stat. 15:971 et seq.
