Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:942.9
- Member: means any teacher included in the membership of the system as provided in Part II of this Chapter. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:701
- Retirement: means withdrawal from active service with a retirement allowance granted under the provisions of this Chapter. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:701
- Retirement system: means the Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana as defined in Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:701
Any member of the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana who participates in the alternative contribution plan shall be governed by all of the laws, policies, rules, and regulations which govern the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana, except where they are in conflict with the specific provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 11:942.1 through 942.8 and in which case the said specific provisions shall govern.
