An election shall be called for the purpose of consolidating two or more school systems, in accordance with La. Const. Art. VIII, § 10(C) , pursuant to an act of the legislature or a resolution adopted by each of the affected school boards. Consolidation of two or more school systems shall be subject to the approval by a majority of the electors voting, in each school system affected, in such election held for this purpose.
