Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 17:2825
- articles of incorporation: as used in this Chapter shall be deemed to include the articles of conversion of a converted corporation. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 17:2817
- Cooperative: means a corporation organized under this Chapter and a corporation which becomes subject to this Chapter in the manner provided in this Chapter. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 17:2803
- Person: includes any natural person, firm, association, corporation, business trust, partnership, state or political subdivision or agency thereof, or any body politic. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 17:2803
Whenever any notice is required to be given under the provisions of this Chapter or under the provisions of the articles of incorporation or by-laws of a cooperative, waiver thereof in writing, signed by the person or persons entitled to such notice, shall be deemed equivalent to such notice. If a person or persons entitled to notice of a meeting attends such meeting, such attendance shall constitute a waiver of notice of the meeting, except in case the attendance is for the express purpose of objecting to the transaction of any business because the meeting has not been lawfully called or convened.
