Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 23:1671
- Administrator: means the secretary of the Louisiana Workforce Commission. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 23:1472
- Employment: means , subject to the other provisions of this Subsection, any services including service in interstate commerce, performed for wages or under any contract of hire, written or oral, express or implied;
- Person: means an individual, association, partnership, corporation, limited liability company, or other entity. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 23:1761
- Secretary: means the secretary of the commission. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 23:1
- State: includes the states of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 23:1472
A. By the tenth day of each month, the secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health shall send to the administrator a report, certified as correct over his signature or the signature of his authorized representative, containing the name, date of birth, date of death, address, sex, and the social security number, if available, of each person who died in the state within the preceding calendar month.
B. The administrator shall have custody of these reports. Such reports shall be confidential and shall not be considered as public records under La. Rev. Stat. 44:1 et seq. The information received by the administrator shall be used for administrative purposes only and, except for authorized personnel who administer programs and services under the Louisiana Employment Security Law, shall not be divulged to any person for any reason.
