Any person employed as a military policeman by the Military Department, State of Louisiana, who is certified pursuant to the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 40:2405, after completion of one year of service, shall be paid by the state additional salary at the same rate provided for police officers and deputy sheriffs, provided funds are available.
