- Commissioner: means the Louisiana commissioner of agriculture and forestry. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:921
- Person: means an individual or any legal or commercial entity, including a corporation, business trust, partnership, limited liability company, association, or joint venture. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:1
A. Any person who violates a provision of this Part or a regulation adopted pursuant to the provisions of this Part shall be subject to a civil penalty of not more than one hundred dollars per violation.
B. Civil penalties may be assessed only by ruling of the commissioner based upon an adjudicatory hearing held in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act and this Part.
