- Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
The governing authority of a municipality dissolved under this Subpart, in office at the time of its dissolution shall liquidate the other affairs of the municipality as speedily as possible and shall continue in office until the final settlement thereof.
