- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
A development agreement may be amended or cancelled in whole or in part by mutual consent of the parties to the agreement or their successors in interest. Notice of intention to amend or cancel any portion of the agreement shall be given in the manner provided by La. Rev. Stat. 33:4780.28. An amendment to an agreement shall be subject to the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 33:4780.29.
