Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2110
- Board: means the Louisiana State Board of Examiners for Sanitarians. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2101
- Sanitarian: means a person who possesses the necessary qualifications as recognized in this Chapter to carry out inspectional, educational, and investigational duties in the field of environmental sanitation, or who serves as a consultant, supervisor, or administrator of programs and personnel involving such duties. The board is authorized to issue sanitarian trainee permits to applicants who have met the minimum educational requirements of La. Rev. Stat. 37:2111 but who either do not possess the required year of experience and training in environmental sanitation or environmental health or have not yet passed the written and oral examinations before the board. Such permits shall not be issued for a period in excess of two years, and provided, further, the board may by rule require sanitarian trainees to work only under the supervision and direction of licensed sanitarians.
