Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 45:175
- Certificate: means the permission issued, pursuant to the terms of Louisiana Revised Statutes 45:162
- Commission: means the Louisiana Public Service Commission. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 45:162
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Vehicle: means every device by which any person or property is transported upon the highways of this state, except devices moved by animal power or exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 45:162
Every contract carrier by motor vehicle shall display in each vehicle a certificate or receipt from the Louisiana Public Service Commission setting forth that the policy or bond required by La. Rev. Stat. 45:173 covering such vehicle has been furnished and filed.
