Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 46:1405
- Child: means a person who has not reached age eighteen or otherwise been legally emancipated. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 46:1403
- Department: means the Department of Children and Family Services. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 46:1403
- Type I license: means a license held by a residential home that is owned or operated by a church or religious organization that does not wish to be licensed as a Type IV center. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 46:1403
- Type IV license: means the license held by any publicly or privately owned specialized provider. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 46:1403
A. Until such time as rules are promulgated by the department to implement the types of licenses required by La. Rev. Stat. 46:1404, specialized providers shall follow the rules, regulations, and standards in effect for Class A and Class B licensure.
B. All existing residential homes possessing a Class B license shall be issued a Type I license as provided by rule.
C. All existing child placing agencies, maternity homes, and residential homes that meet the definition for a Type IV license pursuant to this Chapter shall be issued a Type IV license as provided by rule.
