Louisiana Revised Statutes 46:2 – Administration of oaths
Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 46:2
- Department: means the Department of Children and Family Services or the Louisiana Department of Health. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 46:1
- Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
A. Employees of the office of children and family services of the Department of Children and Family Services and employees of the parish or district offices of the department, including the New Orleans Department of Health, may administer oaths and pass authentic acts in connection with any documents relative to relief or assistance now or to be furnished by the state or any political subdivision under the provisions of this Title or the provisions of the Social Security Act, as either may be amended.
B. Employees of the office of children and family services of the Department of Children and Family Services and employees of the parish or district offices of the department may administer oaths and pass authentic acts, except acts of voluntary surrender under La. Rev. Stat. 9:402, in connection with any documents relative to services now or to be furnished by the state or any political subdivision, either directly or through contractual agreement, under the provisions of this Title or the provisions of the Social Security Act.
C. No charge shall be made for any oath taken or act passed by authority of this Section.
