A. Prior to reviewing cases pursuant to La. Rev. Stat. 46:2420, all persons appointed to serve as local citizen review board members shall participate in a training program established and approved by the state citizen review board or its staff. Each local citizen review board member shall receive at least eight hours of initial training, to be followed by at least eight hours of training for each year thereafter.
B. Training shall be made available to each local citizen review board member within thirty days of the member’s appointment.
