A. A special parking card bearing the international symbol of accessibility may be issued to any person who has a temporary mobility impairment as defined in La. Rev. Stat. 47:463.4(E) upon application to the secretary and accompanied by a currently dated written physician’s statement certifying that the person has a mobility impairment.
B. The temporary parking card shall be valid only for a period of one year from date of issuance, but it may be renewed for an additional one year period upon submission of an additional request and recertification that the temporary mobility impairment persists.
