The state Department of Transportation and Development is designated as the authorized state agency, as referred to in La. Rev. Stat. 50:8, to administer the provisions of this Chapter, to collect and distribute information, to authorize such modifications as are referred to in La. Rev. Stat. 50:8, and generally to advise with and assist appropriate state and federal agencies and individuals interested in the development of the provisions of this Chapter.
