- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
A. An official record of a member’s account in a credit union doing business in this state, or an entry therein, when admissible for any purpose, may be evidenced by a copy attested by the officer having legal custody of the member’s records.
B. Notwithstanding any law or provision to the contrary, with respect to any power exercised by credit unions, each reproduction, as defined in La. Rev. Stat. 13:3733.1(A), shall be an original as defined in Article 1001 of the Code of Evidence, and under any other similar codes of evidence or other evidentiary laws or rules of any other jurisdiction.
