Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 6:924

  • Association: means a savings association, thrift institution, homestead, building and loan association, savings and loan association, or society, including both capital stock and mutual associations. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 6:703
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Savings account: means an account to which earnings, including interest, is paid or accrued. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 6:703

Any pledgee or other lawful holder of any note or other evidence of indebtedness due to any association may enforce in its own name or in the name of the association all appropriate remedies to enforce collection, whether or not the shares or savings account described in connection with the note is held by the pledgee or holder.
