Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 8:654
- Human remains: means the body of a deceased person and includes the body in any stage of decomposition, as well as cremated remains. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 8:1
Whoever mutilates any human remains without authority of law shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than three years or by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars, or both.
