Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 9:393

  • Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.

Full faith and credit shall be given by Louisiana courts to an affidavit acknowledging paternity executed in any state in accordance with the laws and procedures of that state.
