Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 12 Sec. 10452
- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- Person: means a human being or an organization. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 12 Sec. 10001
- Summons: Another word for subpoena used by the criminal justice system.
A person may not refuse to sign a citation or Uniform Summons and Complaint after having been ordered to do so by a law enforcement officer.
