Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 17 Sec. 313-E
- Beano: means a specific kind of group game of chance, regardless of whether such a game is characterized by another name. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 17 Sec. 311
- Registrant: means a person or organization registered with the Gambling Control Unit to hold, conduct or operate beano games for which a license is not required. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 17 Sec. 311
- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 1 Sec. 72
A single prize awarded for a game of beano may not exceed $400 in value and the total amount of prizes awarded on any one occasion may not exceed $1,400 in value except that once per calendar year on one occasion a registrant may award up to $2,000 in total prizes.
