Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 19-A Sec. 1651
- Parent: means the legal parent or the legal guardian when no legal parent exists. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 19-A Sec. 101
The parents are the joint natural guardians of their minor children and are jointly entitled to the care, custody, control, services and earnings of their children.
