Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 22 Sec. 2158-B
- Adult: means a person who has attained the age of 18 years. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 1 Sec. 72
- Food: means articles used for food or drink for humans or other animals, chewing gum and articles used for components of any such article. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 22 Sec. 2152
Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, food, food additives or food products that contain adult use cannabis are not considered to be adulterated under this subchapter based solely on the inclusion of adult use cannabis. For the purposes of this section, “adult use cannabis” has the same meaning as in Title 28?B, section 102, subsection 1. [PL 2019, c. 491, §1 (NEW); PL 2021, c. 669, §5 (REV).]
