Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 23 Sec. 1909
- Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Transportation. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 23 Sec. 1903
- highway: means any public way which is so designated by this Title, including interstate, primary and secondary highways. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 23 Sec. 1903
Lawful businesses and points of interest and cultural, historic, recreational, educational and religious facilities are eligible for official business directional signs, subject to this chapter and to rules adopted by the commissioner and to any federal law, rule or regulation affecting the allocation of federal highway funds or other funds to or for the benefit of the State or any agency or subdivision of the State or any agency.
