Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 24 Sec. 2310
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- superintendent: means the Superintendent of Insurance of this State; and
Any dissolution or liquidation of a corporation subject to this chapter must be conducted under the supervision of the superintendent, who has all power with respect thereto granted to the superintendent under Title 24-A with respect to the dissolution and liquidation of insurance companies.
