1. Civil actions. In any civil action to enforce this chapter the bureau and the State may be represented by any qualified attorney who is employed by the bureau and designated by it for this purpose or at the commissioner‘s request by the Attorney General.

Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 26 Sec. 1045
- Bureau: means the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation, the former Division of Unemployment Compensation in the Bureau of Employment Security. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 26 Sec. 1043
- Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Labor. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 26 Sec. 1043
- State: includes the states of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 26 Sec. 1043
2. Criminal actions. All criminal actions for violation of any provision of this chapter, or of any regulations issued pursuant thereto, shall be prosecuted by the Attorney General or district attorney.
