1. Reexamination may be required. The Secretary of State, having good cause to believe that a licensed operator is incompetent or otherwise not qualified to be licensed, may require, on at least 5 days prior written notice, that operator to submit to an examination.

Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 29-A Sec. 1309
- License: includes , but is not limited to, a nonresident operating privilege and the privilege of a person to apply for or obtain a license or permit to operate a motor vehicle. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 29-A Sec. 101
- Operator: means an individual who drives or is in control of a vehicle or who is exercising control over or steering a towed vehicle. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 29-A Sec. 101
- Person: means an individual, corporation, firm, partnership, joint venture, association, fiduciary, trust, estate or any other legal or commercial entity. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 29-A Sec. 101
2. Suspension of license. On conclusion of an examination, the Secretary of State may suspend the license of that person or issue a restricted license.

3. Refusal to submit to examination. Refusal or neglect of the licensee to submit to an examination is sufficient ground for suspension.
